Arusha
Day 1 Arrival Arusha
Jumbo, welcome to Tanzania! You will be met at Kilimanjaro International by our representative and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge. On arrival enjoy a refreshing welcome drink while completing check in procedures. Once you are settled into your room unwind and get ready for your next adventure tomorrow morning.

Lake Manyara
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
This morning after a hearty breakfast at the lodge you will be collected by your local guide and driven to ILBORU Primary School in Arusha which cares for deaf and disabled children. Meet the children and the staff. Then head to Lake Manyara National Park set at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and famous for its unique tree-climbing lions and huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos.
Expect to see games such as Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, hippo and others. After spending most of the day in the car you might enjoy a leisurely stroll along Kirurumu River which has to be crossed on large rocks a couple of times. This is a great chance to get out your vehicle and explore this beautiful area on foot. Note that wet muddy feet cannot entirely be avoided…!
Accommodation is at andBeyond Lake Manyara Lodge nestled in dense forest between the lakeshore and the steep Rift Valley escarpment. The lodge is perfectly positioned to explore the park’s wealth of habitats and abundance of game including elephant & cheetah, as well as blue monkeys and well over 400 species of bird and the world-famous tree-climbing lions. Set in the remote southern region of the park, you would be surprised to see another vehicle on your game drive. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only permanent luxury lodge in the park and offers a sophisticated blend of natural indulgence and romance.
Enjoy Morning and Afternoon Game Drives as well as night Game drives. Each child will receive a WILD child branded bag containing a logbook, crayons, pencils and a pawprint tattoo and will be entertained with specialized activities such as recording the name of the animals seen during the
the children Bumble Safari. In addition, the whole family can explore Lake Manyara on bicycle.
There is also an opportunity to visit a nearby Maasai village.

Ngorongoro
Day 4 & 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy another morning game drive followed by breakfast before being transferred by road to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, perched on the edge of the Crater itself, this award-winning lodge is fit for a king and queen as well as family. This will be your location for the next 2 nights from which to explore the crater and its surroundings.
After completing the check in procedures, settle in your room and later have lunch.
Enjoy your afternoon game drive with stop for Sundowners to stretch your legs while marvelling at the splendour of an African sunset, and the absolute tranquillity of the bush.
The following day you will start early morning for a full day of the crater exploration (with a picnic lunch). As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Your Guide will be in contact with other fellow safari guides and will amaze you with his exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life skill at locating the hidden animals. In the late afternoon drive back to the lodge after yet another exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life.
Mealtimes are a sociable affair, with dinner served under the stars (weather permitting). It is time to swap stories with fellow guests and make new friends.

Serengeti
Day 6 & 7: Serengeti National Park
Leaving the crater behind you will be transferred this morning to Manyara Airstrip for your flight to the Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a Game Drive transfer to the airstrip.
On arrival at Grumeti airstrip you will be welcome by the camp’s team and transferred to the camp. Accommodation is at Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp which lies right in the path of the Great Migration and its dramatic river crossings. Set in the remote reaches of the Park, on a bywater of the Grumeti River, known for its wildebeest crossings and enormous Nile crocodiles and tucked into a strip of riverine forest, guests can watch the antics of spectacular pied colobus monkeys (found nowhere else in the Serengeti) and enjoy nocturnal serenades by orchestras of owls and bushbabies.
Game drives from the camp can expect to encounter large lion prides and clans of hyena up to a hundred strong, as well as the great herds of Tanzania’s annual Great Migration. Each year, the masses of wildebeest and zebra cross the waters of the Grumeti River, home to some of Africa’s largest crocodile, in search of fresh grazing grounds.
Another way to experience the Serengeti National Park is on a hot-air balloon safari to enjoy spectacular view of thousands of games spread over the park. A sunrise hot-air balloon flight over the Serengeti is sure to be one of the highlights of your safari. Flights last approximately one hour and are followed by a Champagne bush breakfast. Hot-air balloon safaris require an early departure from the Lodge at approximately 4:45 am; a quick grab-and-go breakfast is provided. (only children above 6 years are allowed)
The children can spend some time with a Maasai Warrior who will pass on some of his bush-skills and traditions – like how to make fire, how to make a toothbrush from a tree, and how the Maasai use plants as medicine.

Aurevoir
Departure
After a week of safaris bliss, it is time to wave farewell to the bush as you are being transferred back to the airstrip to connect with your schedule flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
